Fernie has a population of around 5,000 people. It is a mountain town, a ski town, a place people come to for the weekend and never quite manage to leave. It is not, by any conventional measure, a market where you would expect to find the top-ranked real estate team in the country.
And yet.
eXp Realty Canada recently recognized First Tracks Real Estate Group as the #1 domestic partnership in all of Canada by sales volume, and #10 by sides. In a network that spans every province and thousands of agents, that is a result that still feels surreal to say out loud.
I have been trying to figure out how to write about this without it sounding like a press release. Because the truth is, this achievement does not belong to us. It belongs to every person who picked up the phone, sent an email, or walked into a showing with us and decided to trust us with one of the biggest financial decisions of their life.
Real estate is a relationship business. You can have every tool, every strategy, and every market insight in the world, but none of it matters if people do not choose you. Every single transaction behind these numbers represents a family buying their first home in the valley, a couple finally making the move they had been dreaming about, an investor taking a calculated leap, or someone selling a property that held twenty years of memories. We did not take any of those moments lightly. We never will.
Claire and I built First Tracks on a straightforward belief: do right by every client, every time, and the business will take care of itself. Fernie is a small community. Word travels. Reputation is everything. This recognition is proof that the approach works.
